Alveogyl from Septodont is a eugenol-impregnated alveolar dressing for treating dry socket (alveolar osteitis). It’s a trusted chairside solution for one of the most painful post-extraction complications. It gives patients fast relief with a simple one-step procedure.

The paste contains Penghawar fibres, which give it a fibrous consistency. That makes it easy to pack into the socket, and it adheres well to the alveolus so it stays in place. Once placed, Alveogyl has a soothing effect on the alveolar tissues, helping to relieve pain quickly.

Alveogyl is self-eliminating, so no suturing is needed. It doesn’t need to be removed at a recall appointment either; the only follow-up is to observe the healing process. That saves chair time and makes the experience easier for patients. It can also be used as a post-extraction dressing for patients with a history of dry socket.

Each jar contains 10g of paste.
